Where Steps Are Led
Contemporary ArtDescription The painting “Where Steps Are Led” is inspired by life’s journey and the sense of unseen, almost divine guidance that often accompanies us along the way. Many paths in life are shaped by conscious decisions—clear choices that lead us in one direction or another. At times, we find ourselves bound to choices we regret, decisions that may or may not be reversible, yet inevitably become part of our growth and our unique human experience. Many people believe in divine guidance: that when we ask, we are led toward what is right for us. There is a belief in a place of grace, something that can lift us beyond what we commonly understand as karma, the simple cause-and-effect of our actions and decisions. It is this subtle space of grace, beyond effort and consequence, that inspired this painting. The original poem of the same name is written into the work: A gentle hand that pulls the thread, To weave the path where steps are led. No mortal eye could see the choice, Until the silence found a voice. Drawn from the soul, a sudden spark, A guiding light within the dark. It is not earned by strength or skill, But yielding to a higher will.
